Printer Technology

Printers have been part of our daily live for a long time. Laser printer have also been around for many years, however in the past they have been purely business machines. Now however the prices have come down so far that they are accessible for both home and business applications.

One of the latest printer technology is A3 printer and scanner. An A3 printer and scanner is a multifunctional machine that allows you to scan and print. However, like other multifunctional gadgets, they have extra features that come along with them. It can be facsimile capability or wireless connectivity.

The most basic function of an A3 printer scanner is that they can print documents to a maximum of A3 sizes. A3 size has dimensions of 17″ x 11″. Most printers are only capable to print Legal sizes, which measures 14″ x 11″. A3 printers can print on A3 sizes as well as smaller sizes, so you do not need to worry that you are only able to print on A3 sizes. Most A3 printers are capable of printing smaller sizes such as Legal and Letter sizes. Some of them even have the option to print on other media such as envelopes.

The second basic function of an A3 printer scanner is able to scan documents at 17″ x 11″ sizes. Scanners mostly work by installing computer software that comes along with it. After that, the document is faced down on the flatbed scanner and is covered with a lid. When the scanning starts, it flashes a light along the document. Then the computer will ask to save the data.

Both printing and scanning functions go hand in hand in such a way that it finally generates another function, which is copying function. Some printer scanners have the option to print it straight so it can work just like a photocopier. The best thing about it is that they can also photocopy colored documents.

These functions are only the basics. There are several printer scanners that have other special features. Some of them can be used even without using a computer.

BlackBerry Style 9670

blackberry style 9670 201x300 BlackBerry Style 9670DESIGN & BUILD

Six years ago the RAZR was on the cutting edge of design (no pun intended), and since then there hasn’t been a single clamshell on the market I’d want… until now.

When it’s closed, the Style is about 2/3 the size of a Storm or iPhone and just a little thicker.

The device feels solid and secure in the hand and I wouldn’t think twice about dropping it. The phone fits and feels well in my palm but I found myself wishing a few times that it was thinner.

It is adorned with a smooth plastic back, black polished finish accented with a pewter bezel. This generally looks good, but one major annoyance I found throughout my test period was that the Style attracts and retains finger prints in the worst way. The high gloss finish means the smudges are extra noticeable as well.

Because of its slick finish and convenient form factor it slides effortlessly in and out of my pocket.

Screen
There is a large 2-inch external color display complete with the status information you want in a hurry — message counter, battery life, signal strength, clock, and even previews of messages via the side convenience keys.

Cracking open the device continues to reveal a treasure trove of delights. The internal 2.7-inch QVGA display looks nicer than its specs would lead you to believe. Screen contrast, brightness, and clarity were all better than I was expecting.

This smartphone opens at an angle and is weighted towards the base. As such, I found myself able to flip it open on a desk and comfortably read from it.

This relative angle between the screen and the base causes problems when taking pictures, though, as straight-on camera shots have to be taken while angling the phone towards yourself.

Hypnosis Deal With Computer Addiction

computer addiction 300x208 Hypnosis Deal With Computer AddictionWhen most of the people hear the word Hypnosis, they will automatically imagine a person waving a pocket clock in order to make another person to act like a chicken, dog or walk like’s zombie or even do action against their will (kill someone, rubbing people).

But the reality is different; hypnosis is a mental state (according to “state theory”) or imaginative role-enactment (according to “non-state theory”), in which the hypnotized person is not in a semi-sleep state but better he is hyper attentive and has absolute free will. This mental state is induced by a procedure known as a hypnotic induction (which is commonly composed of a long series of preliminary instructions and suggestions) or may be self-administered (“self-suggestion” or “autosuggestion”). Braid, the inventor of hypnotism (hypnotism derive from the term “neuro-hypnotism” – nervous sleep), described hypnotism as a state of physical relaxation accompanied and induced by mental concentration (“abstraction”).

In 2005, a new definition of hypnosis, derived from academic psychology (Society for Psychological Hypnosis):

Hypnosis typically involves an introduction to the procedure during which the subject is told that suggestions for imaginative experiences will be presented. [..]. A hypnotic procedure is used to encourage and evaluate responses to suggestions. When using hypnosis, one person (the subject) is guided by another (the hypnotist) to respond to suggestions for changes in subjective experience, alterations in perception, sensation, emotion, thought or behavior.”

According to Freud, the mind can be divided into two main parts:

  • The conscious mind includes everything that we are aware of. This is the aspect of our mental processing that we can think, act and talk about rationally (when you extend your hand in order to retrieve something). A part of this includes our memory, which is not always part of consciousness but can be retrieved easily at any time and brought into our awareness (like a definition). Freud called this ordinary memory the preconscious.
  • The unconscious mind is a reservoir of feelings, thoughts, urges, and memories that outside of our conscious awareness. Most of the contents of the unconscious are unacceptable or unpleasant, such as feelings of pain, anxiety, or conflict. According to Freud, the unconscious continues to influence our behavior and experience, even though we are unaware of these underlying influences (just like when you lock a door but later on you are not sure if you locked or not the door, because our unconscious mind told us to get the key and lock the door).

Apple iPod touch (Gen 4)

apple ipod touch 242x300 Apple iPod touch (Gen 4)BUILD & DESIGN

The new iPod touch is beautifully designed, as all Apple products are, with sleek lines and modern details. Unlike the iPhone 4, it isn’t at all boxy. It is remarkably thin and light, with strongly tapered edges. If you use the device “naked” you may not even remember it’s in your pocket — it really is that small.

With smartphones, they sometimes seem quite light… and then you notice that the battery is still in the box, so you are immediately disappointed with a light phone that almost instantly becomes a heavy “brick” in your pocket.. That isn’t the case here; the iPod touch is sealed so it comes fully assembled with the battery inside and it weighs just a few ounces.

The build quality is excellent, as you would expect from Apple. There is no creaking, bending, or flexing of any kind.

Display
The new Retina display on the iPod touch is absolutely gorgeous. I haven’t had the opportunity to see it side-by-side with a new iPhone 4 yet, so it’s hard to make direct comparisons. I can say that it is vastly superior to my old iPod touch. It is extremely sharp and clear, and much more readable outside in bright sunlight.

My photos look better than ever before, and video does too — amazingly sharp and clear. If you have an older iPod touch, you’ll see a huge difference in the display — the new Retina technology represents a great improvement.

This improvement isn’t really all that surprising, considering the screen resolution has gone from 320×480 to 640×960, but the display size hasn’t changed – it’s still 3.5 inches.

Keyboard
The iPod touch doesn’t have a physical keyboard, instead relying on a virtual keyboard for text entry.

It works well, but of course I have long experience with the old iPod touch so there’s nothing new for me here. I can say that typing is easier with the new model because it is fast enough to make the built-in word completion utility a pleasure to use instead of a pain.

It also lets you double tap on the shift key to enable Caps Lock, which I use all time time and am thankful to have. It’s a little thing, but it isn’t available on the original iPod Touch.
