I remember my first programmable gaming keyboard (a Logitech G15) and as I struggled with it. The only reason I wanted it was because it was the best on the market at the moment and that is why I felt I needed to own one. I had no idea what to do with it or what I was going to use it for. I did however, almost adding another element to its already impressive list of features pre-installed, explaining how the keyboard can be effective in a game of cricket or anything that involves a bat. It ‘s really irritates me, because I do not need all the features and why they were there, I felt that I had to use them all. I used it all to end, but that was only because I advanced my game and thus the most requested features out of the keyboard.

Now, many people are already players, serious or not and know exactly what features are and what they can do. But there are many people out there who do not know what features they should do and whether the performance is in fact what they actually need. So I put together a list of features you will find on the keyboard to play and then I will explain each of them more clearly.
Here is a list of features you will find installed on gaming keyboards. I would add that not every gaming keyboard has all the features mentioned below installed on them at the same time.
LCD screen
Programmable G-keys (for macros, and macros on the fly)
Back Lighting
Anti-Ghosting
In game mode switch
Media controls
Removable Key Pad

The LCD screen is a screen at the top of the keyboard (usually in the middle) showing a range of information to you during the game. An example of the information displayed is: game statistics vital statistics system, data communications and VOIP you can even see what server your friends are playing some games, like World of Warcraft. You can also watch photo slide shows on the screen as well as YouTube videos (this feature is only on the Logitech G19). So we can see how good the LCD is. Outside of the game you can still see the display system statistics, but only on the G19 from Logitech, you can watch videos and photo slideshows.
Programmable G-keys (or keys of the game) are the keys that can be programmed to execute certain commands. You can program buttons to do more with a single button. So in other words, if you have a command that you want to run, but has more than one keystroke required, then you schedule a G-key to make all the keystrokes for you. Now this is vital in playing the game, especially in strategy and role-playing games. But programmable keys can also be used in the calculation of every day. I own the Logitech G19 Gaming keyboard and use the programmable buttons to program my password and small bits of text that normally the login information. This is a great feature for those working with databases or anything that requires many accesses. It ‘also good for designers and publishers, where many key presses are sometimes required.
Back lighting is a really cool element. This is standard on all keyboards game regardless of all other characteristics listed above. Basically what this function does nothing but illuminate the keys below. There are typically three levels of brightness for the backlight, however, all even if the backlight is standard for gaming keyboards do not all have the same color or all the colors that other people do. The Logitech G19 and G510 are playing keyboards with a number of different colors, while others have only three or only one. This is not only good for the game, especially if the games are played in low light areas or even dark, but also a great resource to change the style of your workstation. There are people out there who just want a new look for their place of work and backlit keyboard do the trick.
Anti-Ghosting is a function of keystrokes as they are missed, in fact, actually registered and not void. This happens with multiple keypresses even if not frequently, but without anti-ghosting key presses will not be recognized.
In game mode dial is a feature that disables the Windows / Context key during the game, so you do not accidentally kicked out of your game. And I’m sure that has happened to all of us at some point.
Multimedia controls, this feature is as big as you can control volume, playback and mute the same keyboard. This feature is available for headphones that are connected to the keyboard and even the sound emitting from the computer itself. So there is no need to find the controls on the screen, if you want to turn down the volume quickly.

Detachable keyboard. This is also a really neat feature, as you can move the keyboard to the left or right, depending on which hand is more convenient to use for operation. Again, this feature is another feature you can use outside of the game.
High-speed USB ports are a big plus, as you can Plug and Play with comfort. Thanks to this feature you can transfer data between devices such as MP3 players and flash drives and you can do all this while charging the devices that are battery powered. Another great feature that can be used outside of the game.
Automatic profile switching is a feature that allows you to automatically or manually change the profile you are or want to be a. With the automatic, the keyboard detects the running application and automatically applies the profile previously set for the application. Very exciting feature, especially if you enjoy playing in different modes (Microsoft Sidewinder X6 has this feature).
The function of the speed control is also a very useful feature to have because it allows to continue an action without having to hold all the keys otherwise required to perform the action. You can also use the cruise control up to four keystrokes (installed in the Microsoft Sidewinder X6)

As you can see all the features that are installed on the keyboard of a game can also be used for the calculation of all days, even if the factor Obvious design was originally for the players first. Another thing that we must look is the structural design of the keyboard. The first thing you’ll notice is that some of the keyboards are slightly bulkier than a standard keyboard. Now this is as predictable as the keyboard itself houses more than one key, it requires more space for electrical components and hardware utilities that are necessary for the game. But what is also great for the gaming keyboard design, is that they are designed for ergonomic purposes. This is because the players spend much time in front of their keyboards and are more prone to wrist, arm and hand discomfort that users of a standard keyboard. So the idea behind the ergonomically designed keyboards game is to install some features that reduce the overall risk of wrist discomfort. These features include: removable and adjustable wrist wrest, keyboards with zero slope designs, different effective lengths foot keyboard for a raise or lower the keys of the keyboard for comfort and, moreover, that can accommodate softer keystrokes.
Now I’m not sure how you know the terminology that is used in the field of gaming keyboard, but below is a list of words that you encounter with regard to gaming keyboards.
WSAD – This is the four keys that is used to control the movement which is usually your W, S, A & D keys.
Anti-ghosting – usually in a standard keyboard (or keyboard dome switch), the design is such that the keyboard uses columns and rows of wires. Through this project the results that occur may be inaccurate when a lot of keystrokes at once. When this happens, drop the keys become “ghosts”. With keyboards that have anti-ghosting capability, using a small small amount of carbon for each race site to prevent access to key short-circuit the rows or columns of wires. Thus, this allows the keyboard to decode every keystroke separately.

MACRO – A macro is a set of transactions and property values that can be applied to an existing view or views. So in other words, macros are not tied to objects or graphics that are applied, but when they are used, operations or property settings will be applied to selected objects. This means that the property settings can be applied to different views, as opposed to property settings in styles.
OPTICS – is basically an optical device used for producing or controlling light. So if you’ve got an optical mouse for example, would a mouse that produces the light and in doing so uses the light for the registration is free on your computer.
POLLING ULTRA – Ultra-election game in mice increases the amount of times that the firmware of a mouse reporting and monitoring data to the computer at 1 ms (1000Hz). In this way, it reduces the interval between each transmission of the calculations and then move the cursor on the screen to give a softer and more accurate with greater responsiveness.
HYPER ANSWER – On a hyper response button, there are two phases that are in the development of the button. This is basically to ensure that it can always be operated independently of where it is pressed and also is rapidly depressed. Thus, if not completely, press a button or not press hard enough, the button will still operate and not lose time to answer.
ON-THE-FLY – This is basically just when you do something in haste or to create something quickly when necessary.
G-keys – These are basically the key of the game. The buttons can be programmed with macros.
ERGONOMICS – This is basically a study to see how they interact with the human body. So if you were to pick up a pen for example, holding it for long periods of time and write it could possibly cause discomfort to the hand and wrist. Making the most ergonomic design of the pen, would allow for long periods of use without discomfort. This study is applied to everything that interact or may interact with the human body
Now the only answer I can give you what is the best Gaming Keyboard is simple. It all depends on what you want to use the keyboard. The industry is led to believe the programmable Logitech G19 Gaming Keyboard is the best on the market and to some extent it is. It has all the features that other keyboards, but more advanced and is designed with serious players in mind, therefore, lends itself to being ranked as the best ever gaming keyboard. But I think a gaming keyboard, or anything for that matter is just as good as what you need. If you do not need a lot of things then do not buy one that can do everything.

As for what the gaming keyboard is better for you, well again that depends on what you want out of it. If you are a novice with little experience with programmable keyboards, then it is probably best to take both a gaming keyboard with programmable keys without a keyboard or with a limited number of programmable keys. However in saying that many of the keyboards are really good game instruction manuals and CDs. But again, if you only need a few keys that can be programmed, then do not buy a gaming keyboard with huge amounts of programmable options. So it all comes down to what you need. If you take the time to think clearly about what you want to get a gaming keyboard and read all the reviews on the various types of keyboard playing, then your decision will not be wrong.
